About ASU
Marking its first hundred years, Arkansas State University continues to expand in exciting ways.
Jim and Wanda Lee Vaughn Estate
Following their commitment of an estate gift, James and Wanda Lee Vaughn of Jonesboro were inducted into the Legacy Society in 1999.
As educators and benefactors, they often contributed their time, talent and treasure to promote student success at Arkansas State University, where they both earned degrees.
The Vaughns participated with enthusiasm in the region's cultural and civic life, and often assisted young people in cultivating an appreciation for the arts. They touched countless lives through their inspiring and encouraging approach to learning.
Passionate about an array of university programs, the Vaughns' ultimate gift to AState is allocated to support three endowed professorships, a scholarship for future educators, assistance to deserving students, and enhancement of student life. In addition, the Vaughn Student Lounge in the Reng Student Union and the Vaughn Gallery in the Bradbury Art Museum provide permanent recognition of their generosity.
