Pat McCrackin Lewis
The Chad Lewis Memorial Scholarship
Chad Lewis was a '99 graduate of A-State, where he majored in sports management and minored in photojournalism. He was a man of many passions. An avid photographer, writer and outdoor enthusiast, he provided leadership to form a local ultimate Frisbee league.
Following his unexpected death during surgery in 2000, many of his friends and fellow students conducted ultimate Frisbee fundraising tournaments in order to establish a scholarship in his memory.
His mother Pat McCrackin Lewis has made a bequest to the established scholarship on behalf of her late husband Doyle Lewis to ensure Chad's legacy of his close and personal relationships with his family and friends live on in perpetuity and to assist, like Chad, eager and bright students attending Arkansas State University.
